DE BIJENKORF
VISUAL INTERNSHIP
For my third year internship I got the opportunity to work at de Bijenkorf. Here I joined the Visual department, where the window shops and instore visuals were designed. It was extremely educational.
I got the opportunity to design and develop the windows for all seven stores in the Netherlands
For six months I got to dive into the world of de Bijenkorf, Hollands biggest luxury department store. Here I learned how to start the process of creating a visual concept, designing the decor, creating a guideline for implementation in the stores, communicating with the in-store stylists.

“The finished windows were photographed in Amsterdam on the Dam Square. It was pretty surreal to see everything come to life in only six months”

The sketches for the visual concept made by me.

Creating multiple options for all stores and all windows thus creating a ‘universal’ design.

The yellow and the panelling were used to make the "NIEUWE COLLECTIE" campaign recognizable and give it the signature Bijenkorf feel.
